We are looking for a flexible, compassionate, reliable, and proactive self-employed person to support a 65-year-old man in accessing social activities and promoting his independence.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will assist with a range of social activities based on the service user's interests, including snooker, cinema, fishing, and music events. Essentially, one day a week will be dedicated to allowing the service user to enjoy whatever activity he prefers.
Hours:
1 day a week, ideally from 10 AM to 2/3 PM (flexible).
Key Responsibilities:
Support the service user to engage in social and recreational activities.
Provide assistance with accessing local community resources.
Foster independence while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience during activities.
Requirements:
Must be self-employed.
Must have use of a car.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs is preferred but not essential.
Must be reliable, punctual, and proactive in creating an engaging experience for the service user.
Pay:
£20 per hour.
