LinkMeUp Buddies is a new scheme for disabled children, young people and their families focused on fun, friendship and fulfilment

LinkMeUp Buddies has been created from an idea by parents in Greenwich who struggled to find engaging and appropriate support for their disabled children and young adults.

Through our PA matching service, we enable families to employ committed, enthusiastic and like-minded Buddies, to provide support, share experiences, access their local community and develop new skills.

All Buddies are fully vetted by Vibrance including references, DBS and Right to Work checks. LinkMeUp Buddies can be accessed by families in receipt of a Direct Payment and those who wish to fund it themselves.

How does Buddies work?

Register on LinkMeUp to find your ideal Buddy based on your own criteria (including: age, hobbies and interests, availability, skills, experience, etc).

Once you have shortlisted suitable Buddies, contact our Team and we’ll help you to arrange interviews and support you to help you be an amazing employer.

Interested in becoming a Buddy?

As a LinkMeUp Buddy you get the chance to have fun and share your interests with a young disabled person. You will gain experience by supporting them to access the local community, develop new skills, and become more confident and independent. Plus you can make a friend for life!

If you are interested in becoming a Buddy, find out more and register.

How can I find a Buddy?

LinkMeUp Buddies can be accessed by Greenwich families in receipt of a Direct Payment, or families who wish to fund a Buddy themselves.
