Job Title: Carer / PA / Support Worker – 69 Hours/Week

Location: Mottingham

Rate of Pay: £15.30 per hour

Hours: A team of PA’s to cover 69 hours per week

We are looking for a flexible, compassionate, reliable, and proactive person to promote independence for a 30-year-old man, who uses both electric and Manual wheelchair who has a learning disability, complex medical needs, and a visual impairment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support including all aspects of Personal Care, meal preparation, administer medication, household tasks and simple admin.
• Accompany to and from, social engagements, medical appointments when required.
• Ensure The clients well-being and safety at home and when out, particularly given his visual impairment.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or complex needs is preferable however not essential.
• Understanding of visual impairments and how to support independence safely.
• Wheelchair user
• Preferably a driver with a full UK driving licence (not essential but helpful).
• Training provided
• Good clear communication skills, including strong spoken and written English.
• Ability to assist with light administrative tasks.
• Patient, respectful, and positive approach to care.
• A good sense of humour – The client enjoys comedy and watching comedians.
• Comfortable around pets in the home.
